A core value of Torani is to care deeply for people and it’s important for us to extend that care to our partners all throughout the coffee community. Cafes and baristas have been integral to Torani’s success for decades and we feel it’s our duty to offer our support now more than ever amidst the struggles of COVID-19. Torani has established The Café Opportunity Fund to support cafés and baristas in need by partnering with incredible organizations like Go Fund Bean. We are so honored to get to be a part of GFB’s mission to support, uplift, and defend the hourly coffee professional.

We recognize that many of the people at the front line of engaging people in enjoying great coffee are baristas and people working in roasting and retail. They are the amazing people that spread the good word about Baratza. These unsung heroes are the people we don’t often know about or cannot touch individually. As a result, we are intentional at Baratza about supporting the coffee community, especially those who are experiencing mental health challenges as a result of the Covid-19 upheaval on our lives. We appreciate Go Fund Bean doing the important work to support the coffee workers with the Stay Grounded Initiative and stand behind them to get mental health services to as many people as possible.

Oatly launched in the US in late 2016, and since that moment, by some combination of brilliance and good fortune, baristas have been our biggest proponents. As a way of recognizing and trying to express gratitude for that impact, Oatly’s coffee team (made up largely of former coffee folk) leads with the interests of baristas and other hourly coffee workers in mind. This is why partnering with Go Fund Bean felt so intuitive and perfect. As one of the biggest and most incalculable impacts of COVID-19 and its fallout has been the toll it has taken on everyone’s mental health, we are so honored and excited to be able to support hourly coffee workers through Go Fund Bean’s Stay Grounded Initiative
