EMERGENCY GRANTS
Go Fund Bean found its start through the release of emergency grants at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, this remains our flagship program. Go Fund Bean provides $500 in need-based grants to hourly coffee professionals around the USA each quarter. This program is made possible through donations from industry leaders and generous individuals like you. (should add donation link below this description). Donate here
SGI
The pandemic left hourly coffee workers on unsteady ground in their workplaces, which continues to take a toll on their mental and emotional health. Through SGI, we are able to support these workers by providing them with free sessions with a therapist. 50% of spots are reserved for BIPOC individuals while another 25% are reserved for those who were hourly workers within the past year.
Bean For Bean
To uplift the career goals of hourly coffee workers, Bean For Bean lets us connect seasoned coffee professionals with people new to the industry. Mentors and Mentees connect in our Discord server, and each partnership is assigned a private Asana project to set goals, figure out action plans, and discuss their work. Program facilitators send out weekly discussion prompts for our Mentors and Mentees to engage with and grow their relationship.
Bean Development
These monthly professional development classes are geared towards hourly coffee workers. Each provides them with access to expertise to help them attain skills they might not have access to otherwise. Classes are held online via Zoom, are free to hourly coffee workers, and are recorded in an archive on our Patreon for posterity.
